Diary : 13 Aug 2011 (Back in Chiang Mai)

Nope. Manak did not turn up. We waited for an additional 30mins, but no sight of the child.

A picture taken this morning at RADION's SHOPHOUSE while we waited for manak to appear.

The journey from the village to Chiang Mai city took 7 hours covering almost 450km. But seeing the smiles on the children's faces at the STREETKIDS! home in Chiang Mai, just washes away all tiredness. But the smell of perspiration from the hours of driving remains !

 

Briefing to the kids. It was hilarious when we tried to teach Jong (One of our stk girls) to keep still when she is speaking. She has a habit of moving her hands as she speaks and its absolutely hilarious when she tried to speak with her hands crossed. We thought it would work, but instead her head started bobbing !
