I've not noticed but somehow when you don't guard your time, somehow work consumes you little by little. No matter how important work is, the fact is real, there is no end to work. There is always something to improve, something more to write, more emails to send out, more grants which we can give a shot.
And last week has been a rough week, things have not been going well. One kid ran away, Singapore Audit is delayed further, our talk in Apr is still hanging in the air and a million other things.
The joy of each day greys with each poor news.
Deep inside I want a break, but I can't leave the work. And trust me, its tiring to be running businesses to sustain the ministry, while all at the same time running the ministry. This prolonged juggling act takes its toll on the juggler.
It was just yesterday where I decided to put a stop to all this. And literally stop replying emails over the weekend and just put down work.
I changed out of my work clothes at 8pm. Went out for dinner and it was great ! I slept though today till 2pm, and it was REFRESHING ! I've never slept uninterrupted for so long, not without calls, emails buzzing and jazz.
After I woke up, I just went for lunch at my favourite place, treated myself to a nice cheese cake, watched a movie and had dinner after. All without the work monster following me.
What a great day ! Now I feel refreshed to take on a whole new week !
